Abstract

Participation of Forest Farmer Groups (KTH) is a very important factor in the implementation of Forest and Land Rehabilitation (RHL) activities in the registered forest area of 38 Gunung Balak, which has a very high, protracted, and long-standing tenurial conflict. This study aims to analyze the participation of KTH and its relationship to the success of the percentage of plant growth of Type IV Self-Managed RHL. Perception data collection was carried out using a questionnaire with a saturated sampling technique, or census, where all members of the population were used as samples. The collected data were analyzed descriptively to assess the perception of the level of KTH participation in relation to the success of the percentage of plant growth of Type IV Self-Managed RHL. Assessment of the percentage of plant growth was carried out using a purposive sampling method by counting the number of healthy living plants in a 25 x 40 m plot. The level of KTH participation in Type IV Self-Managed RHL activities was included in the high category, with as many as 72.2% of respondents (value range 42- 51), and in the very high category, with as many as 27.8% of respondents with a value range of 52-60. Success percentage of RHL Swakelola Type IV growth: The success percentage of plant growth is in the successful category >75%, with as many as 62.96% of respondents, and very successful >90% as many as 37.03% of respondents. Based on the Spearman rank correlation analysis, the relationship between the level of KTH participation and the success percentage of RHL plant growth shows a strong relationship category with a correlation coefficient value of 0.623 (p = 0.000; p < 0.05).
